These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and the company that operates the Pepta mobile application and any associated services (collectively, the "Service"). That company is referred to in these Terms as "Pepta", "we", "us", or "our"; our full legal name and registered address are set out in Section 14 (Contact).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Pepta is an informational tracking and calculation tool for people who self-administer peptide compounds. The Service includes:
- A reconstitution and dose calculator - A protocol builder for tracking peptide schedules - A daily injection tracker and site-rotation tool - Features for logging measurements, photos, and laboratory results - AI features that read the lab reports you upload and generate educational insights, using a third-party AI provider (OpenAI)
Pepta is not a medical device, not a pharmacy, not a healthcare provider, and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or treatment. The Service does not recommend, supply, verify, or endorse any peptide, compound, or source.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
The Service is currently available in selected jurisdictions only. Use from a region where the Service is not offered is at your own risk and may be prohibited by local law.
3. Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of all information you enter into the Service, including peptide names, concentrations, volumes, and dosing schedules. - The legality, quality, identity, and safety of any substance you choose to obtain or use. - All decisions to start, continue, modify, or stop any therapy or self-administration. - Consulting a qualified healthcare practitioner before, during, and after any peptide use.
The Service performs arithmetic on the values you enter. It does not validate whether those values are correct, whether a substance is appropriate for you, or whether a calculated volume is safe to administer. A miscalculation, an incorrect input, or a misuse of the Service can cause serious harm. You accept this risk.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Pepta offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (collectively, "Subscriptions") providing access to advanced features.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store under Apple's standard auto-renewing subscription terms. - Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. - Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. - Renewal is charged at the prevailing rate for the selected plan within 24 hours before the end of the current period. - You can manage and cancel your Subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the Pepta app does not cancel your Subscription. - Prices, plans, and offers may change. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect. - Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. We do not process refunds directly. - Free trials, promotional pricing, and introductory offers, if any, are subject to the conditions disclosed at the time of purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a Subscription.
5. Account, Data, and Content
You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials used to access your account and for all activity under your account.
You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit, and display Your Data solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not sell Your Data and do not use it to train third-party models.
You can export Your Data and request deletion of your account at any time. Deletion is processed under the retention rules described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service if you are under 18. - Use the Service to obtain, distribute, or promote any controlled substance or any substance whose possession or use is unlawful in your jurisdiction. - Attempt to access another user's account or data. - Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or systematically extract any part of the Service, except as expressly permitted by mandatory law. - Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or any part of it. - Use the Service to provide medical advice, prescription, or clinical guidance to other people. - Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that contains another person's personal data without their consent.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if continued access creates a legal, security, or safety risk.
7. Ai Features — Specific Terms
Pepta's AI features use a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to read the lab reports you upload (extracting marker values) and to generate short educational insights and descriptions about your biomarkers.
These features run only after you give your explicit consent in the app, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings -> Privacy. You acknowledge and agree that:
- The AI features produce probabilistic output. They can be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, biased, or fabricated ("hallucinated"), even when the output appears confident — including when reading values from a report. - The AI features do not have access to your full medical context. They cannot account for medications, conditions, allergies, drug interactions, or contraindications relevant to you personally. - The AI features do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, treatment recommendation, or pharmacological guidance, regardless of how the output is phrased. - You must independently verify any factual statement or numerical value produced by the AI features — including extracted lab values — before relying on it for any decision, and consult a qualified healthcare practitioner for anything that could affect your health. - We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, currency, safety, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement of any output produced by the AI features. - To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions you make, actions you take, or harm you suffer (whether direct, indirect, financial, physical, psychological, or otherwise) based on AI feature output, including but not limited to incorrect dosing, incorrect interpretation of a biomarker, missed diagnosis, delayed care, or adverse reaction. Section 9 (Limitation of Liability) applies in full to the AI features. - The data you submit to the AI features is processed by our sub-processor OpenAI in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Do not upload a report containing, or enter, information about other identifiable individuals. - We may rate-limit, change, suspend, or remove the AI features at any time without liability.
If you do not accept the limitations described in this Section 7, do not use the AI features.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers, including the Apple App Store, Supabase, RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, OpenAI, Expo, and Meta Platforms (advertising attribution and measurement). Your use of features that depend on these providers is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers, except as required by mandatory law.
9. No Medical Advice; No Warranty; Limitation of Liability
9.1 No medical advice. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before starting, stopping, or changing any therapy.
9.2 No warranty. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and fitness for any medical, diagnostic, or therapeutic purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against intrusion, or that calculated values, AI feature outputs, or any other content are correct, safe, or appropriate for any individual.
9.3 Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pepta and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or substituted services, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising from or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed EUR 50.
9.4 Mandatory law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of warranty or liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Pepta harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damage, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, (c) Your Data, or (d) your violation of any law or third- party right.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you in the Service or by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if continued access poses a legal, security, or safety risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 7, 9, 10, and 13) will survive.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The competent courts of the Emirate of Sharjah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except where mandatory consumer- protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
